Q.Does Sinergify work with all versions of Jira?
A.Yes, it works well with all the Jira versions.
Q. What Salesforce editions does Sinergify work with?
A. Sinergify works well with all the Salesforce editions except for Salesforce Essentials.
Q. Is there a way to disable Sinergify for certain users?
A. Yes, this can be done with Salesforce permissions.
Q. What will be the user limit for a single instance?
A. The user limit for Sinergify is segmented into two parts according to its pricing:
  • For up to 30 users
  • For unlimited users
Q. Is the integration on the Salesforce side or Jira side?
A. The integration is on the Salesforce side with few configurations on the Jira side as well.
Q. Do you perform customizations if required?
A. Yes, we do perform customizations.
Q. What type of security is followed through the product?
A. We use token-based as well as username API token-based authentication for the integration. All the data will be directly synced between the two systems (Salesforce-Jira) without any third party involvement.
Q. How does the data get synced between Jira and SF CRM?
A. We have custom objects to store the data directly into Salesforce. With the help of REST integration, we create communication between the systems and the data is transferred from one to another.
Q. Is it possible to only synchronize certain Projects within Jira and leave the others untouched (unsynchronized)?
A. Yes, this is possible with Sinergify.
Q. Does Sinergify work with Jira Server and Jira Cloud?
A. Sinergify works with both versions of Jira.
Q. Can I configure Sinergify myself?
A. Yes, you can do it using our product set-up guide.
Q. How long does it take to configure Sinergify?
A. It takes around 2 hours to configure the product.
Q. Can we configure Sinergify based on our needs?
A. Sinergify has some built-in features to meet your business requirements that are configurable. If there are any additional features that are required then it can be done via customizations.
Q. Is there any way to configure Sinergify to adjust historical data as well?
A. It is not configured via the connector, but as a part of it we do it separately with our assisted implementation package.
Q. What happens if a Jira ticket is moved to a different project?
A. If a Jira ticket is moved to a different project, the same details will be updated in Salesforce as well in real-time.
Q. Can one search Jira Labels & Components from Salesforce?
A. You will be able to select the components from existing ones for Jira ticket from Salesforce. Whereas for labels, the existing labels in the Jira instance are not visible in Salesforce, but yes, you can add or remove the labels on the specific ticket via Salesforce.
Q. Can we sync rollup fields from the Salesforce object back to Jira? If yes, how?
A. Yes, we can sync the rollup field data from Salesforce to Jira at the time of Jira issue creation. To sync field data whenever the field is updated, we need to write some custom logic on top of Sinergify.
Q. Can I push changes back from Jira to Salesforce?
A. Yes, all the updates are synced bidirectionally between both platforms.
Q. Does Sinergify work with custom objects?
A. Yes, it works with every type of custom objects and fields.
Q. Is Salesforce case creation from a Jira issue supported by Sinergify?
A. No, you cannot create a case from Jira, but you can link it to the existing case through Jira. You just have to enter a case number in a field in Jira and the issue will be linked to the case in Salesforce.
Q. Any concerns with our Jira instance being on-premises or behind a firewall?
A. No, this is not a concern. In fact, most of the on-premise Jira instances our product works with, are behind a firewall. You just need to ask your IT team to whitelist some Salesforce IPs in this list https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000003652&type=1 for authentication.
Q. Is the product able to interface between SFDC opportunities and JIRA projects and/or epics?
A. Yes, using Sinergify you can sync any SF object with Jira and it also supports Epic as well.
Q. What all can be synced between the two systems?
A. Currently, the following are some of the synchronizations available in the connector:
  • Jira issue details which are configured via a connector (bi-directional)
  • Salesforce case comments and Jira comments(bi-directional)
  • Salesforce attachments to Jira issue attachments (Only from Salesforce to Jira)
Q. Does Sinergify require an app to be installed in SFDC?
A. Yes, it is necessary to manage package installation in Salesforce.
Q. Can we generate reports on Jira issues from Salesforce?
A. Yes, the connector comes with a number of pre-configured reports.
Q. What changes the Sinergify installation will make to the current page layouts in Salesforce?
A. The installation will not make any automatic changes to your current layout. Installing the connector will just add some custom buttons and an embedded related list for Jira issues.
Q. Will you need access to our Jira Production?
A. Yes, we need to do some configuration on the Jira side. But it isn’t mandatory, as you can do it using our installation guide.
Q. Does Sinergify offer bi-directional syncing of attachments?
A. Not at the moment but it is a part of our future roadmap and will be made available soon.
